Dr Ameena Roona

M.B.B.S.

I was born in Bangladesh, where I completed my MBBS in 2001 and then started medical career in general practice. After moving to Australia with my family I started working in general practice since 2019. I am a GP registrar in PEP pathway at RACGP. My areas of interest in general practice include general family medicine, women’s health and geriatric medicine. I speak in Bangla and English though I understand Hindi and Urdu well. When not working, I enjoy reading books, cooking Bangladeshi traditional foods and spending time with my family and friends.

Dr Yusur Alomary

MBCHB

Dr. Yusur Alomary completed her medical studies in 2011. After graduating, she served in the Obstetrics & Gynecology department in Sydney. Later, she relocated to the South Coast region and worked in the Emergency departments of its local hospitals.

Dr. Alomary has an Advanced Women’s Health Certificate, skilled in IUD insertion and is also involved in GP shared care. She has undergone advanced suicide prevention training. Eventually, she transitioned into General Practice with a pronounced focus on women’s and elderly health.

Dr Mai Youssef

General Practitioner, Female, MBChB

Dr. Mai Youssef completed her medical studies in 2007. Has a previous good experience as General Medicine specialist in Egypt and later in Australia as GP in Tumut.

Dr. Youssef has experience and Courses in Mental Health, Skin Scanning and Biopsies, women Health and Family Planning also involved in GP shared care.

Dr Ahmed Ismail

MBBS

Dr Ahmed is offering holistic, multidisciplinary care and looking to make an impact in the lives of patients and their families. 

Graduated in Egypt with over 10 years of medicine experience and 5 years of work experience in Australia in the fields of acute medicine and general practice. Highly committed, patient and a great listener.

Dr Ismail likes spending time outside work with his small family, 2 lovely daughters and close friends. He enjoys sight-seeing, hiking and relaxing.

Dr Joyce Manthi

General Practitioner, MBChB, MPH

Dr Joyce Manthi is a highly skilled and compassionate General Practitioner with over seven years of experience in general practice before relocating to Australia in 2018. She graduated from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, and has since expanded her expertise with postgraduate studies, including a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Liverpool, UK, and a Diploma in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine from the University of Rome La Sapienza, Italy.

Before joining Kiama Doctors, Dr Manthi worked as a GP in the Albury-Wodonga region for three years, gaining valuable experience in Australian healthcare settings. She is currently a GP Registrar on the Practice Experience Program (PEP) pathway, working towards her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

Dr. Salam Tooza

MBChB, MS (USYD)

Dr. Salam Tooza is a dedicated and has a special interest in preventive medicine, skin cancer, dermatology, and paediatric care, adult medicine, skin cancer checks, skin cancer procedures, men’s health, and paediatric health. With over a decade of experience in the medical field, he is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing medical knowledge through research, education, and clinical practice.

Salam’s passion for medicine extends beyond the clinic, as he actively engages in groundbreaking research aimed at improving patient care and surgical outcomes. His contributions to medical literature and dynamic presentations at conferences in Sydney and beyond reflect his dedication to continuous learning and innovation. He frequently participates in national and international medical and scientific events, ensuring he stays at the forefront of medical advancements.

A natural educator, Salam is deeply invested in mentoring medical students and junior doctors. He has held teaching positions at Macquarie University and Newcastle University, shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals with his expertise and enthusiasm. His training journey in Australia includes Bankstown Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital, and surgical registrar roles at Hunter New England District and Wollongong Hospital. His commitment to surgical excellence was further solidified with a Master of Surgery from the University of Sydney in 2023.

Beyond medicine, Salam enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their two young children. He is an avid sports fan who finds balance in staying active, whether through running or playing soccer. His dedication to both his professional and personal life reflects his well-rounded approach to health, well-being, and making a meaningful impact in the community.
